Aim
The aim of this school, which is organized in the context of the project TNE DeSK (Developing Shared Knowledge) is to provide participants with a solid understanding of global environmental problems (including but not limited to climate change and marine plastic pollution). A special focus will be linked to the sea, in line with the interests of the organizing institution (University of Naples Parthenope) as part of the SEA-EU Alliance and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM). The school will be organized with the support of the upcoming association MEDAERE (Mediterranean Association of Environment and Resource Economists).

Target
Teaching and non-teaching university staff and working professionals from any university, research institute, or other organization (private companies, government agencies, NGOs) with an interest in environmental issues and ability to read and write fluently in English. Scholarship opportunities are available for PhD students and researchers from TNE-DeSK partner universities.
Structure
The Winter School will be organized in 6 teaching modules, 1 group work, 1 workshop and a round table:

Number of Students
The minimum number of students for the activation of the winter school is 10. The maximum number is 30. Participation will only be in person.

Registration
Participation is free of charge. Teaching and non-teaching staff from TNE-DeSK partner universities can request a scholarship, covering travel expenses (up to 310,00 Euros from Europe, 1.600,00 Euros from South America) and subsistence (up to 190,00 Euros per day).
